Cudah Andarawewa
Cudah is a Toronto based camera operator with experience in dramatic television as well as features, documentaries and commercials. He has worked extensively with both film and digital formats.
He is a long time member of IATSE local 667.
As a focus puller he worked primarily with film, mostly in television drama.
As a second camera assistant he loaded thousands of magazines of film in formats ranging from 16mm to IMAX.
Debacle Productions
Debacle: “Utter collapse or rout”.- The Pocket Oxford Dictionary
In a high school film class all the kids were making up company names (as kids do) to make their projects seem more professional. So Cudah chose to call his “company” Debacle Productions.
He had a basic notion of what debacle mean’t but mostly just liked the sound of the word.
He continued its use through film school and when he became an actual working camera assistant he registered Debacle Productions as a sole proprietorship.
Debacle Productions Inc. was incorporated federally in the year 2000.
Another interesting definition of a Debacle is “a sudden or violent rush of water which breaks down opposing barriers, and carries before it blocks of stone and other debris.”
